(a) Confirm output interface using policy routing function
Step 1. Log in to this router.
Step 2. Using the show ip policy command, inspect the configuration definition of the
policy routing input interface and the status of the policy routing output
interface.

Confirm the output destination used by a policy routing function when the input
interface of a packet that cannot be communicated is tokyo and when the
transmission source IP address is 200.1.4.5.
Step 1. Log in to this router.
Step 2. Enter show ip policy interface tokyo:
Step 3. Confirm the condition number used in input interface tokyo.
In the example described above, <Filter List No.>: 1, 2 is applied.
Step 4. Display the detail information of the conditions confirmed in step 3.
Enter show ip local policy interface tokyo 1 2:
Step 5. Confirm the contents of conditions and the output destination at that time.
Compare the contents of a packet that cannot be communicated and
confirm the policy routing group name under conditions in which the
contents match.
Step 6. Confirm the state of the employed policy group. Enter show ip cache policy
route1:
Step 7. A packet is discarded because it cannot be output due to a defective output
destination interface. Recheck the policy information setting of the current
configuration definition information and follow “Section 7.4,
“Communication failure in network interface” on page 7-11.
